22 Weeks

We are now home from holiday and I have finally finished unpacking and washing all our clothes and all of Soph's toys!

As promised here is the video of Sophie rolling for the first time!

Here are some photos of our holiday:

This is a photo of 4 generations of our family!
Grandpa and Great Great Uncle Jack
Granny and Great Great Aunt Syliva
Granny and Sophie
Grandpa and Sophie

Whilst on holiday we got Sophie a jolly jumper which she loved! See photos:

We went to a family brunch on Sunday with Round Table which was great and Sophie got to go on a bouncy castle for the first time! She sat on the edge and bounced and watched the other boys and girls with Mummy, she was fascinated! Below is a photo from the day:

Sophie is rapidly approaching 6 months which I cannot believe! She is getting so big now and is almost in 6 - 9 month clothes!

We have a busy couple of months. We are going to a family bbq with Round Table at the beginning of August which should be really fun. We might be going to a red and white ball in Oxford in August too but not sure about that one yet! In September we are going a 20's inspired dinner and dance which I cannot wait to go to! We are currently looking for 20's clothes to wear and I have found a great flapper dress on Ebay which im hoping I win! I'll post pictures if I win it!

TTFN!

Sophie 20/21 Weeks and her first holiday!

We are down in Eastbourne this week for a holiday with Mum and Dad. We took Sophie swimming for the first time on Monday and she really liked it! I was worried that she might get scared with all the noise but it didn't faze her one bit and she seemed to think it was just a big version of her bath! We bought a swimming costume for her and she looks adorable in it! I will post a picture as soon as we have one of her in it!
Sophie is really enjoying spending time with her Granny and Grandpa and getting lots of cuddles!

We have had visits from Sophie's Great Aunt & Uncle and her Great Great Aunt & Uncle! It was lovely to see them all and introduce Sophie to members of the family! I'll put pictures up in the next blog as our SD card doesn't seem to want to work with Dad's computer!
Sophie is really growing quickly now and her legs seem to have grown so long this past week! See photo below:

It is our fourth wedding anniversary on Thursday! Mum and Dad are looking after Sophie and we are going out to dinner and the theatre :) It will be the first time we have left Sophie with someone else and although I completely trust Mum and Dad to look after Sophie, I know I will be looking at my phone the entire time just to check they haven't called or text me!
I have finally caught Sophie's rolling on video but will have to put it in the next blog as I have it saved on my computer at home!
I will also post lots of pictures of Sophie's first holiday in the next blog - it will be a long one!!!!

Sophie 19 Weeks!

Can't believe Sophie is almost 5 months old!!!!

We've had another really busy couple of weeks! We went to Henley Royal Regatta on Saturday and it was such a nice day. We had perfect weather and although we had to pay, got a really good spot to have our strawberries and Pimms see photos below:

Sophie is growing really quickly and she can now roll onto her tummy from her back! I've not managed to capture any pictures or videos though as she does it super quickly and then gets upset because she can't roll from her front to her back! As soon as I can get a picture though I will put one on here!

Sophie can also now sit in a high chair!!! This is making meal times much easier and less messy!

See pictures:

I'll do a 20 week update next week!

Sophie 16 weeks

We have had a really busy couple of weeks. I did Race for Life last Saturday with a couple of friends which is a 5k run for Cancer Research UK. It was really exhausting but raised £165.00 for charity so it was worth the pain the next day!

Anthony was in the Hinckley Carnival with the rest of Round Table on the Sunday. They were "the Red Barrows" and they were brilliant! See video below....

We had another milestone week as Sophie learnt how to hop from one foot to the other in her Jumparoo! She's not quite jumping yet but she's on her way! See photos and video below.....

We went to a BBQ at our friends Steve and Laura's house yesterday (Sat) and there were two other babies there for Sophie to play with. Grace is 8 months and Alisha is 5 months old; they all had great fun gurgling and pointing at each other! See photos below....

We have had a really busy time lately and I am shattered; a rest is in order today I think!

Sophie 15 Weeks

I thought I would start a blog to document Sophie's early days as so much happens and I want to be able to share it and remember it in the future!

Sophie had begun to laugh a lot which is so adorable! (see video below)

She is rapidly growing and is now definitely out of 0 -3 month clothes and into 3 - 6 month clothes now. I tried weighing her the other day (by standing on the scales holding her and then weighing myself after) and I think she is 14lb now, which seems amazing as she was only 7lb 6oz when we brought her home, she has doubled in size!

Other things I have noticed this week are that she is wanting to stand a lot. She can't obviously stand by herself yet, but she is wanting to put weight on her legs and giggles whenever you help her to get upright :)

She's also started to pass objects from one hand to the other, she is not always successful and it can take her a few tries to do it but she is definitely getting better hand eye coordination and is very proud of herself whenever she manages to achieve it!

I can't wait to start weaning; she is already very interested in our food and watches with fascination as we eat! I think she thinks its some kind of magic trick! I've started a weaning pack for her with spoons, baby cereal and baby rice in it. I think we'll start weaning when we go and visit mum and dad in July (she'll be 5 and a half months) so that I can get mum's pearls of wisdom and so that if its a disaster its not our kitchen getting splatted, lol!

Right time for a feed so better go,

I will try and do a post every week!
